OUR STORY

quote.png

Friends, my 16 year old Madi came home last night from the Vigil clearly upset. She told me she wanted to do something about it. I noticed she was sad, angry. My heart ached for her and all the students affected by this tragedy. Our kids should NEVER have to experience what they witnessed this past Wednesday. I recommended to use the power of the Pen to express her feelings and went to bed. It was around 12:30am.

Around 3am I woke up and noticed the light in her room was still on and realized she was in the computer typing away. I didn’t interrupt her and went back to sleep.

I want to share with you the essay she wrote. I am beyond proud of Madi and all my daughters. They are taking a stand, Enough is Enough. Although it is a lengthy essay, her words need to be heard. I encourage each of you to take the time to read it. Our kids shouldn’t be writing these type of essays.

They are just kids. Enough is Enough. PARKLAND STRONG.
